TNG ECB invite you to a Breakfast Briefing on Tuesday 3 May to learn about the recent Health and Safety Law Changes
TNG East Coast Bays invite you to join them at a Breakfast Briefing to learn how the significant changes which took effect on 4 April 2016 in health and safety law will affect your business and what you need to do to comply.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 has been heralded as the greatest change to health and safety law in New Zealand for more than 20 years. This Breakfast Briefing will describe the changes made to the legislation and explain the implications for your business, including:
- How the broadening of the primary duty of the ‘person conducting a business or undertaking’ (PCBU) will affect you;
- How the shift in focus from ‘hazards’ to ‘risks’ will impact your business;
- Your new and wider duties of due diligence;
- Your more extensive employee engagement obligations; and
- How to attempt to mitigate against the proposed increased enforcement tools and the resultant penalties.
